Free Itouch App called Drake’s Tower
November 21st, 2011Drake’s Tower is a one of the free I-touch apps about an eccentric genius named Drake that has trapped himself in a tower on an island. The tower serves as Drake’s laboratory where he has created some of the world’s greatest inventions. The greatest of these inventions has attracted the likes of Bizzaro who is Drake’s evil nemesis.
Bizzaro has attacked Drake’s Golden island to invade the tower and steal all of his inventions. Your mission in this game is to defend the tower at whatever cost from Bizzaro and his zombies.
Ok so you have to give the developer several starts for originality and a great storyline behind the game. Most free I-touch apps don’t have this original of a story line.
My opinion is that any free app that is half way good you should try. Maybe you should try this free i-touch app just to tell me what I am missing. Because at the time I reviewed it is was loaded with lots of stars and positive reviews.
I would only tend to give it 3.5 stars because I found it to be very two dimensional in graphics. So it came across as very flat to me.
But please download this Free I-touch App and comment in the comment section if I am missing something. I kind of feel like I must be missing something. If so please set me straight. I would say if they ever charge for it that I don’t feel like it is worth .99 cents.
Fun apps wanted for your iphone?
November 17th, 2011If you want one of the Fun Apps, then look no further than to the good app Spray Can to download for free on to your iphone. Finally, you can be a tagger in the hood staking out territory for your gang.
In this game you will have a blast and the app will have you painting the town red. Literally.
To begin in this fun iphone app, you hold your finger on the spray can and paint whatever you want on a brick wall. What makes this game fun is that you can save the pictures to email to your friends, upload to your facebook account, or upload to the media server.
I give this game 4 stars because it is so much fun. It would have gotten 5 stars, but the upload feature was fairly buggy at the time of review. (If you have been reading my blog you know how much I love bugs.) So I had to knock it down a star.
But don’t let that stop you from downloading this game because it is truly worth it and one of the free fun apps for your iphone, ipod, or itouch.
Ipod Game Apps-Zombie Highway
November 14th, 2011If your looking for a good Ipod Game App may we suggest Zombie Highway.
Zombie highway is not the flashiest 3D game. Honestly, it is fairly plain in places, but it is loads of fun driving down the highway in your car killing Zombies.
Zombie highway makes a good app for your ipod because it is so simple. A lot of times on the Ipod, the screen is just so small a lot of detail in the game just seems to confuse the eyes.
The purpose of this ipod game app is to drive your car down the road as zombies try to jump on the car and eat your brains out. You have two ways to get the zombies off the car A) you can drive the car closely by things and knock them off or B) (everybody’s favorite) shoot them in the face with different guns until they fall off the car.
As you progress in the game you get bigger and better guns as one would expect and the gun graphics are fairly good. However, there are not a lot of cars to choose from and the levels seem really long in places.
This game get’s 4 stars because the graphics could be better. Although you really can’t be that picky on graphics because if you wanted super detail we would be playing an X-Box and not an Ipod Game App right?
Best Iphone 4 Apps – Flashlight
October 11th, 2011For the category of best iphone 4 apps, we chose Flashlight to be one of the apps in this category. We did this because the Flashlight app is not only one of the Best I-Phone 4 Apps, it simply will not work on the iphone 3 or 3gs. (So where else could we put it?)
On a serious note, this is a quality app. Let’s review.
The iphone 4 has a flash located on the back of the phone. This was due to the fact that many people complained that the I-phone 3 and 3-GS had poor picture producing quality in low light. So when the iphone 4 was released Apple placed a Flash on the newer model phone.
The Flashlight App takes this built in technology on the iphone 4 and uses it to produce a flashlight. The app does this by having the flash bulb remain lit on a constant basis rather than just a single flash. The app allows you to control the flash and have it stay turned on or turn it off.
This allows the user to find their keys at night, look under their car for something they dropped, or whatever else you need to locate in the dark. Because of this, we feel this app is a best iphone 4 App because great applications often use simple solutions to greatly enhance our lives.

Gun Bros- 2 Player Shooting Games

The boys over at Glu Games did it again as they released this 2 player shooting game which is also a multiplayer shooting game named Gun Bros.
The characters are more brothers in arms as opposed to paternal brothers, but this game is your basic shoot em up/time to kick butt and chew some gun. The problem is the gun bros are all out of gum. OH YEAH! Go TIME!
It is a great freemium game that allows you to progress to different worlds and to get different guns. (which is nice) However, it is a little too detailed in places with the graphics. (but hey we can’t all be simple and clean like Angry Birds. Right?)
All in all I give this 2 player shooting game around 4 stars. I would have given it more, but the fact that you have to buy so much weaponry to get to the higher levels really seems to be a drag. BUT the free areas are a lot of fun and you will really enjoy them. So this game is great for an airplane or taxi ride where you need to kill some time.
Mobile Games Free Downloads-Should Never Jump the Shark.
September 29th, 2011“Jump the Shark” is a phrase when something has iconic status and then becomes less popular because of a key misstep or poor decision that pushes it downward. Mobile games free downloads are not immune to this.
The phrase “Jump the Shark” originates from the hit T.V. show “Happy Days” when the Fonz (played by Henry Winkler) jumps a shark tank.
The first thing you should know was for the day the Fonz was the coolest cat in town. It would be like asking Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger to be trapeze artist for Barnum and Bailey Circus. Sounds weird right? Exactly!
So when the first Mobile Game which was a free download named “Office Jerk” came out we loved it. I mean there was nothing better than picking up a stapler and throwing it at somebody in the game. We could all identify because we all worked in cubicle land with some jerk that mad us mad or had gone to school with a bully we didn’t like. (If neither of those applied and you were just bored out of your mind it was a fun game to pass the time.)
Now enters the shark jumper with the new version “Office Zombie.” At first I was really excited about this game. It is a free download, it has zombies in it, and it is released before Halloween.
I am thinking, “Hey, I am feeling pretty festive for Fall. Let’s go whale on some zombies.” Even the pictures and back ground in the game are hilarious as there is a memorial of the first “Office Jerk” in the background. (Little picture of the guy with a nice gold plaque. Be sure to look for it.)
So in premise the mobile game is awesome but I found the first version very buggy. It locked up on me all the time. So I am giving it 3 stars. But hey….beggars can’t be choosers when mobile games are free downloads. Because it was free. But your not going to go away empty handed. Because here is “The Fonz” jumping that shark.
Good Apps that are Running Games.
September 27th, 2011Temple Run – One of the Good Apps
In the famous movie scene of Indiana Jones (played by Harrison Ford), Jones goes to remove a golden idol from a temple then has to run for his life to escape certain death (not to mention all the natives chasing him).
This movie scene is the basic plot behind the game Temple Run. Although, you don’t get to use a bullwhip and wear a cool hat like Jones, but you do get to run from hordes of creatures trying to tear you apart. (which is enough to ruin your day)
Temple run is good app because it teaches you how to play the game in the beginning without having to read the instructions or going through some long boring tutorial (I am honestly still amazed developers still do the boring tutorial.)
This is a good app because it has some 3D features and the slides are very smooth on the I-phone app.
Basically, you can slide, run, and jump through a maze on each level of play. Which is why I give Temple Run 3.75 stars just because the design is good and the version I played was fairly bug free. So in my mind that makes it one of the good apps.
